Compared to the previous model, the projected area and face are 14 mm and 5 mm wider respectively. Further, in making the sole periphery thicker, the moment of inertia is boosted by 10% to take it to the highest level (4500-cm3).
At 460ccs, the head features the largest top surface projected area of all of Honma's clubs. Moment of inertia is maximized by adding weight to select parts of the sole.
To achieve the appropriate spin level and high strike angle necessary to produce excellent carry, we made the crown a very thin 0.65 mm. This design yields a low center of gravity.
This shallow back design features the same face height as the previous model, but the head ridges are placed lower, helping the player to hug the ball and achieve high trajectory.
This wide and shallow head design tells you that it can send the ball flying high just looking at it offering a psychological advantage and enabling players to spiral into a smooth, level swing.
This design really hugs the ball to cut the instance of slicing.
This high-back model allows the golfer to swing close to the body so that there is no delay in the head swing and the ball is nailed head-on.
